Event Plenary:

MARTIN WOOLNOUGH
"Martin has been working with women in his teams since he was an 18 year old Supermarket
Manager in the UK.  His work experience is truly broad.  After his 7 years in Retailing back in the
70's and early 80's he later joined Nestle in Australia as a Sales Representative in 1983 and has
Today he is MD for Nestle Nigeria PLC.  Not only is Nestle a great company genuinely committed
to Gender Equity, but through his broad management experience in about 20 countries all over
the world, Martin comes with a great deal of practical experience and understanding of what it
takes for women to 'get ahead' in what (let's face it) could often be well described as a 'man's
world."

He has worked extensively throughout Asia from China to the former Soviet countries of Central
Asia, also in the Middle East, Africa (including South Africa) as well as Head Office, Switzerland
plus Turkey and even Canada. He also serves on the executive committees of ICC-Nigeria,
NECA and MAN and is well known as a leader with great passion, a contributor and loves making
change.
