The Programme Development Team is looking for an intern to assist in knowledge management functions -mostly extracting, analyzing and packaging organisational data in order to make it available to the public via newsletters, print, press releases and for advocacy.

The Knowledge Intern will be working as a member of the Programme Development Team.

Description of Duties: Assist the Programme Development across all key project functions, mostly in extracting analyzing, packaging and repackaging our project activities and general organisational data...in order to make these available for the public.

Responsibilities include:

• Packaging/Repackaging/Writing/Re-writing corporate messages and announcements into a variety of formats: Briefing notes, one pager, press releases, feature stories, mini-case documents, blurbs and other materials relevant to different audiences
• Assisting in analyzing experiences of our beneficiaries and womenterprise grantees
• Editing information products produced by other teams, liaising with external vendors (graphic artists, printer, webmaster)
• Preparing keynotes/scripts for interviews, transcriptions of video/audio informationals -for clip productions
• Assisting with the moderation and animation of discussions around certain topics e.g. capturing the essence of our success stories.

Required Qualifications

Education: A degree in communications, economics, social sciences and/or other relevant field

Experience: Minimum of 2 years professional experience in related field -Nonprofit/NGO working experience is a plus

Competences: Excellent writing and  analytical skills

• Capacity to analyze complex and technical issues and summarize key elements for non-expert audiences. Experience with drafting, editing and producing information products
• Journalistic skills are preferred to NGO expertise, but able to quickly grasp the essence of social entrepreneurship
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Self motivated and able to work without close supervision.
• Mature, responsible and professional.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills.
• Detail oriented; Team player and able to work in a multi cultural/religious environment.
